Suffering in Venezuela due to poverty has been difficult to measure as of recent. A contracted economy coupled with political unrest has resulted in the Venezuelan population facing challenges in accessing basic human needs. The number of undernourished people is now 3.7 million. School attendance has also dropped significantly to 70%. The amount of people with access to clean water has dropped to 29%, compared to 45% in 2017. Venezuela is a country that is going in the wrong direction and action must be taken to drive these individuals towards prosperity.
